While the COVID pandemic raged throughout a lot of the world there were other illnesses that have been there but became worse. Violence, poverty, racial inequity, and homelessness increased at a rapid rate. These societal pathologies have been there for a long time and seemed to leap at the opportunity that came in with the pandemic.
At the All You Can Tournament 2022 – A Cure for the Community we want to join together and say “No more!” We want to join with law enforcement, health agencies, housing/transitional housing agencies, and anti-violence organizations to let them know where we stand on these issues and the help that is there in the community to combat these societal pathologies.
The beginning of our collective stance will be taken on May 20th, 2023 @ Berry Lane Park in Jersey City, NJ from 12-4 PM. Join us for this battle!
VIOLENCE
We will be addressing the increase in violence and looking to pull together to inflict a mortal wound to this societal ill! Enough is enough! Domestic violence, gun violence, sexual assault, and bullying have to go!
POVERTY
We need to tell this driver of violence, depression, and sickness that it no longer has a place in this city; in this state; in this world!
RACIAL INEQUITY
We are done just mentioning the racial wealth gap. Join our voices along with other organizations in defeating this giant! Let’s combine forces to stand on both equality and equity.
HOMELESSNESS
Along with an increase in the mental health crisis and cost of living, homelessness has increased by 20% in 2021, according to HUD. Enough is enough! Join us in ending the reign homelessness has had.
